I do love glass and I love painting. But I initially
found painting on glass to be fired was a challenge.
Most of the paints I tried were just too transparent
and I am sure you have guessed by now that I love
vibrant color. So this is a unique process of painting
with finely ground glass mixed with pine oil. The
pieces are fired at 1400 degrees, the pine oil burns
out and the painting is now part of the glass. It is a
lot of fun to work with so be sure to take a look at
page 2 for more examples.
