Mixed Media - Photography and Painting
I have always loved windows. Behind every want
to be part of that world that I can not see.

This page will give you a taste of that love as I
just make up what is behind the window. I take
pictures of windows and doors all over the world.
Then I paint who I want to see in the house. I
paint with acrylic or water color and then
digitally arrange them in a room as I see it. Then
I can join them for coffee or tea....or just a chat
about our lives and wonders.
Paris is just one of my favorite places to paint
and absorb the energy of so many artists in so
many places. I was so lucky to get a
scholarship for a contemporary art workshop
at the Georges Pompidou museum. My
teacher was very earthy, so rather than using
the rough medium available....we mixed our
paint with sand around the museum! Now this
is something very unique to take home from
Paris.
summer of 1969 in Haight-Ashbury....the
wonderful "summer of love". I still love Joni
Mitchell music...as well as the classic rock. So
here is my Joni with a pointalistic portrait
layered under pen/ink and watercolor.
